Hi, I'm looking to go back to stock ccv since my egr is off. Do we know the part number of the usa hard ccv pipe that runs on the top of the valve cover? Or does someone have one you can sell?
I've seen the euro one but am unsure if I can connect it to the stock 90 that goes down to the rubber pipe and intake.

I recall TDI buying the euro one because yu couldn't buy it separately in the US. Something stupid like part of the valve cover assy, I recall. Go to the NABDOG facebook page. There are a couple people there that got used engines and they might have a spare for sale. Either this or find one on a torn up M57 perhaps from car-part.com. good luck.

I noticed your profile says X5 35D so i presume you need the hard pipe for an X5 (not a 335D). Correct? unsure if it's a shared part.

Did you use the euro one for a ccv, or put it back to stock? If stock, did it fit in the connector? I know the electrical connector is a simple jumper, not even sure my tune cares about that ccv heater anyway.

Yeah it's the same image/part on realoem for x5 and 335d.

TDIwyse got a euro and cut the end off for a custom catch can install. I still have standard USA ones on our 335 and X5 M57s.

Had some PM's with robnitro this weekend and sent him links to old threads and P/N of that tube (you were in a lot of those old threads as well ... man that was a long time ago :-)).

I'm actually using my OEM tubing with the Fleetguard CCV filter. That Euro one I ended up cutting/hacking up during experimental CCV filter configurations and it's not usable anymore ... But it looks to me like it would work for what robnitro is tring to do with some simple modifications and bypassing the heater connection (I've had a heavy duty staple bridging the connector for many many years now).

Hey TDI,

Ran into a problem and Cuda pointed me to this thread....I followed through it quite a bit but Im not clear on a few things. First...to give you the situation: apparently someone (possibly me) leaned on that plastic a little too hard and broke off the perches on both the pipe side of the CCV and the elbow side...so...I replaced the elbow side and tried to put it back on, only to notice that it wont "click" into place...because half of the edge is gone...the metal clip just kinda hangs... So i went searching for the pipe, only to discover as you did...the oem one isnt available on its own in the US...

In looking at the pictures Im not even sure there IS a lip for the clips on the ones you are showing... Id take any advice you have there...including just skipping the whole thing, cutting that end off and putting the catch can system I have for it on... the only question i have with that is...where do i get the end that connects to the CCV elbow? is that a standard connection of some sort?

I'm having difficulty knowing precisely what you are describing. Any chance you can post picture(s)?

I can try....but in the mean time, the short version is....the elbow connects to the pipe with a metal clip....said metal clip is on a perch....my perches are broken off...thus no way to hold the pipe to the elbow

Is the "elbow" you are talking about the 90 deg thing shown in my pictures here where I'm using a metal jumper to short the OBD checked electrical connection?

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=339

If so, you don't need that 90 degree elebow in the flow path, but you will need to somehow complete the circuit the OBD checks for, or get an SES light. I connected an alternate hose to the end of the OEM CCV plastic tube with a hose clamp that then routes to the input of my CCV filter setup (which is now a Fleetguard filter and not the one shown in the link above)...

Dang, I wish I would have seen this before I changed my broken one out...I could have just replaced it and shorted it over. What about the bottom side of that? Im assuming it cant be shorted over... Now many only concern is...Do I work on installing my catch can system or just get rid of that silly elbow and seal it all back up with a jumper in between.

I am considering this catch can, took my intercooler off on the weekend as my charge pipe got disconnected, found tones of oil in the intercooler so today I have decided to check after driving maybe 60 km. So to be honest after cleaning the intercooler and living it to dry out I have still noticed some oil on the paper that I used to cover the end so no debris gets in but that was just minor stain, today this is what came out

hey all,

Just hacked together a to-atmosphere PCV reroute. I'm surprised at how much vapor it pushes- has anyone else gone to atmosphere on a daily driver? Shame on me for not researching first- I assumed blow by would be minimal. 125K on my car. Just did this after fluiddamper, water pump, pulleys, swirl valve delete and EGR removal.

also- has anyone ever tried to route directly to the downpipe like gas cars?

Garage List
Thanks to floydarogers 8-8-13 quote from SIB
Information I have looked-for since I joined. My 335d spent four years in my hot
garage before I found the malfunction and fixed it.
My final concern is oil, not CBU( fixed ). I will ignore the oil and not install the
ProVent.

Hi Guys,

thanks for a lot of info. I am not sure If I should buy Provent 200 or 400, since the 335d will be cca at 300kw.
