Establishing residency in a particular state
I was wondering if anyone knew anything about establishing residency. I am in great need of in state tuition costs over out of state, it is keeping me from going. I checked the schools site and spoke with the person there and she referred me to a check list like page. I read that I need to prove I am living in the state for other than educational purposes, I need to have 12 months in the state, provide W2's, a letter head from my work place, a copy of my lease and a state drivers license... essentially proving with out a doubt that the state is indeed my permanent domicile. However at the bottom, I read that all or some of these things do NOT guarantee that I will be given residency.
I attended the school for one semester already, and may take a year off to work, live and play to establish residency so that I can chop my tuition bill in half. I was wondering how Nazi schools usually are about these things, or if the state has the say not the school. I'd hate to do all this work and spend all this time only to get rejected for in state tuition/residency.
