reconsider your options and ability to do things yourself.
As a reference we install them for about %48 off that price. Try and find a shop that isnt going to screw you just because you have a BMW.

whoaaaaa there young stallion. you are wrong. you were not asking him a question. you were insulting him, by reminding him BK only pays minimum wage. how is that asking how he supports his habits?

i am not trying to make you feel bad, but don't come in his thread and say stuff like that. and don't call me a little cry baby bitch either because im standing up for someone who has some respect and is proud of his age.

Your reply to me was very out of line so therefore i really dont feel the need to show you any respect. As for me insulting him about BK... i do the exact samething bro i dont see it as an insult. being proud of my age? when did i say i wasnt? showing respect? i show it to those who deserve it, not some dude who likes to assume things and talk trash over the internet. get your facts straight before you jump to conclusions bud...

for the record, the only rasp you will get is allllll the way at the top of the range. so rasp really isn't an issue.

lets get back on topic, i think youd gain power over in the higher rpm's. but it wouldnt be worth sacrificing torque and that having that horrible raspy sound you would get. keep the cats.

show me the loss of torque from removing cats please.

the only reason i see for keeping cats is if you cant have your inspection signed off.

as i live in florida, i know nothing about inspection and how to bribe them.

kids these days... kidding. I dont see what age has to do with any of it. If you got the money, why not mod your bimmer? hell, I have a legit career and I still cant scrape up money for mods. but when I do, its what I spend it on. Then again, the Hotel business isnt so great right now. at least the clients love the sound of my car...

and +1 to whoever said talk to Craven, he will set you up with some good mods and can probably network someone in your area to help with install. He has helped me out a lot and im all the way across the country.

I got a quote from a respected bmw shop down the road for spring install... he said 570 bucks... I told him to have a good day and am still looking. Around here, unlike Cali, installation costs are a lot more because we dont have as many car shops, but you can always find cheaper. keep searching. ask multiple places. one place might honor the others price and do it for less because right now, everyone needs the business.

my 2 cents.

I love it when people make a complete ass out of themselves and therefore reply back with an uneducated response to hide underneath

regarding the install..

i am only pushing that you should do it yourself because of the experience. you are saving money, and gaining experience many people lack. however, i don't suggest you do this unless you are with someone who knows what to do in case of a problem, and i certainly wouldn't try this if you don't have the proper tools.

check the tri state forum.. there are plenty of guys who might be willing to help. try kevin at AK

and keep on moddin buddy, When I was your age I had a 4runner. hand me down from my father, and I made that thing into a muddin machine with my own money. I respect that and know how you feel. Even when you are older, shit dont change. you still haveto save and waste it on mods. but its worth it...

ill bewatching closely to see any gains. try and get a dyno.

It only takes hours to do the install, you should be without a car for 5 hours not days lol
