Good engine bay detail
Anyone have any good step by step ways to detail your engine bay without messing it up? Any no nos or any must have tools when doing it? Mine is filthy and I want to get it looking beautiful

My Way
This would be my tips as I used to be a detailer at a Mercedes dealership and this was the process I was taught
1. Use a pressure washer and do GENERAL PASSES along the engine bay not focusing on any components other than the engine cover 2. Use any degreaser product for cars and let it soak 3. Use a cloth to wipe scrub dirty spots rinse it out nicely 4. wipe it all down and use any detailer spray to remove water spots. Although engine bays aren’t normally shiny but some people like the shiny look in engine bays Here is the cleaned bay of my old C class before it was sold. |

Simple green, soft paint brush to agitate, wipe down with rag and rinse with spot free rinse, cover anything electronic that makes you nervous but for the most part a soft spot free rinse won't hurt anything.
I like to keep mine clean.
