That clip that was posted no way justifies what this muffler really sounds like. I mean generally speaking thats with everything you see on the internet unless seen in person or in HD. I actually saw that same clip before buying this muffler. As you can see it doesnt really do a very good job at persuasion

Another thing im debating... in all honesty the muffler sounds pretty good as it is but I feel as if it could use a little more oomph. Might be getting a resonator delete very soon.

I am very impartial to the Muffler delete. I mean cmon its a muffler delete, those who are trying to compare this to an actual muffler must be smoking something. Its night and day you simply cannot compare the two.

Honestly I could barely even hear it with the windows up, that is to the extent of an aftermarket muffler, it undoubtedly is Much louder then OEM. In my opinion i've never really been a huge fan of loud exhausts, I tried to the best of my abilities to keep my car as conservative as possible. On the Down-low so to speak. Hugo, you can definitely expect to me to cover that portion of the muffler in the video!

Oh yea, thanks ya bastard, after I heard your vid clip on Sat I couldn't resist any longer. JK LOL! I PM'd Long, your down the street connection about buying one, but shipping is just a killer to the E Coast. Classic line of your video "not to shabby" LOL According to my handy parts hook up guy here locally, the database shows 19 exhausts in the US as of today! I've got the RE Ikon in classifieds as a feeler, and a buyer lined up, which is good.

I bought this exhaust last week, it sounds pretty good, looks awsome and weights very little. its deffinatly between a remus and a ikon. The low end bass note is very stong and mean sounding. at 2700 rpm its at the point were im getting so much vibration that its rattling parts in the cabin and drown out my music (its that mean). at higer RPM its more sporty than the stock but isnt as loud as id like to hear it at.
I'm still breaking it in. I was talking to the guy that installed it and he said that these mufflers are good quality and are designed in japan. He said they take about 700-1100 miles to fully break in. Im personally half way there. Every day so far its been sounding better and better. i had the same issue with the bracket as well, i also removed the butter fly vaulves and welded up the holes due to not really careing about tuning the sound. As of right now i am considering a resonator delete as well because im looking for some more noise from the higer RPM range. The first half of the RPM range is honestly perfect, its mean, deep, refined, loud and sporty and all that is left is to get that final punch is to get more sound from 4500 and up to complete the package. I'm waiting till it fully broken in to decide if im going to delete the resonator. |

What im figuring is that all the mufflers are pretty much the same that are offered for out cars, the difference is the bend on the inside of the pipe and how much stuffing they use. this muffler has the mandrel bend and i think a little more stuffing than BMW perf. I'm figuring with a quick resonator delete it will give it that little rasp like the BMW perf. or along thoes lines. here is the link from the man. if anyone is currious http://www.topspeedauto.com/ProductC...idproduct=1892 |

like just as a side comment, these exhusts arnt bad because they are on Ebay, the only reason they are is because the manufacture (Top Speed Pro 1 Performance) is relativly new and they sell some of there exhuast to private merchants for cheaper. Then the merchants sell them for a tad bit higher.
The only reason they are on ebay is because of the exposure that these products get by being on that web site. They get a lot more veiws and reference on ebay than they would on the private sellers own web site. and its a quick easy place to sell good. i included a link to the manufactures web site on a previous post and they sell this for $850 (i think its a tad too high for just a muffler personally, but yet again, brand name is 1200 and above so who knows.) and this on is $350, sounded like a decision and chance i was willing to make. |

I have the same muffler, i got it about a year ago for my 2006 325i. For about 6 months i had it on and was decently pleased with the sound. It could have been a little louder but i was happy. Then i decided to go for the muffler delete. I was first much happier with the sound of the muffler delete than the top speed muffler. I soon got tired of the different, but nice sound created by the muffler delete. About a two months ago i put the top speed muffler back on and deleted the resonator with a y pipe. I am very happy with my decision. It is not as loud as the muffler delete below about 3000 rpm, but after 3000 it has about the same loudness, but sounds meaner imo. The one thing i like more about this exhaust with the resonator delete is that, unlike the muffler delete, the sound does not die off around the redline. It gets louder and meaner until u reach the redline.

The muffler shop that did the resonator delete and muffler install first cut off the resonator and had to fabricate a y-pipe to fit the two smaller pipes that led into the resonator. They are smaller than the exit pipe so he could not use a generic y-pipe to bridge the gap. It only took them about 30 to 45 minutes and it only cost me 60 bucks. The only bad thing is that about 5 to 10 minutes after starting the car, it will drone a little at idle. It only lasts for a few minutes but it is noticeable. Its not close to being bad enough for me to tell anyone off of deleting their resonator.
