Wow a 50% price hike? What was their reason? I can't wait to see this beast finished!

Not sure why they jumped so much. Guessing because of demand. They ordered 10 sets and we're all sold straight away. I am dying to get it back and start re-tuning and dialing it in.

So I decided to buy the Fuel-it Port Injection Kit (Bronze) from Steve cause they have an awesome buy back program at present. If you upgrade to PI and Stage 3 LPFP you get $400usd cahsback and cause I have the original LPFP you get another $300usd... Works out to be $1000aud off. The kit has been sent so once it arrives I will take some pics for everyone so they can see the quality of the product. Cant wait to run 100% E85 and pushing these pure stage 2 turbos to 30psi....

Just a quick update, got the New Bluetooth Rev 3 JB4 connection today Plus upgrading the chip inside the JB4 to the Anti-Lag chip for the Port Injection by Fuel-It. I pretty sure the Port Injection Arrives tomorrow and Thursday so I take some pics once it does for everyone to see the workmanship of the rail, lines and injectors.

So an update. Pistons are still coming and wont be here till the 7th of March before rebuild starts. Had to purchase a VRS kit which was $900, Head gasket and doing all the timing gear at the same time aswell which was another $600 plus head bolts.

These pistons are killing me in the time they are taking but hopefully being patient it will be well worth it in the long run.

So yesterday I finally got my forge pistons from pure performance motorsports after a 10 week wait. The product is awesome but are hopeless to keep to a time frame and ignore the customer if trying to find out what is going on with your order. Never again will I deal with them. I got them only to find out that the pistons are 84.5mm dimensions when the stock pistons are 83.92mm so now I have to get the block bored out to the correct size which is another couple of days and a extra $440 for the block. Compression should be slightly higher which should be good. So hopefully things will be smooth sailing from here on out.

This is industry standard practice. Aftermarket pistons generally start at 0.5mm oversized then you bore the cylinders to get the perfect clearance. It's very rare to try and build pistons to have perfect clearances for a specific set of bores.

Bugger. Yeah communication in the automotive industry is sooooo bad. So many assumptions made instead of communicating and giving choices.

So a quick update. The motor is completely stripped down. The block has been sent to precision engineering to get bored out which will take around 2 days if all goes to plan. Next week the engine should be ready for the complete rebuild from scratch. The finish line is in site. lol

Hahaha it gets a bit like that. Since its all apart everything to tell you the truth is spot on. I was surprise that nothing was worn out internally which is a huge plus but I am replacing all the bottom end and big end bearings just to be sure. My mechanic is a whizz at doing rebuilds on these engines plus I have replaced virtually everything that could fail. It will be a brand new engine virtually. I also saw that the guys from Nizpro have a new transmission setup for around $6000 which will handle massive power. Might have to put that on the wish list lol...

Did your mechanic check the camshaft ledges? How were they holding up?
