Minneapolis-St. Paul Meet

A few of us were talking (in the Rockies / Midwest forum) about a potential E9X meet in the Twin Cities on either 11/28 or 11/29. Chime in if you are interested in trying to get together that weekend - weather permitting of course.

I don't believe there has ever been an E90post meet up here, so let's try to pull something together

Given the continued warm weather (win/lose situation. . really want the snowboarding season to start) it would be a good time for a get together.

I don't have much going on that weekend, so I'm flexible when it comes to times. Any ideas for a location?

How about meeting up, grabbing some food, having a small cruise to a place to do a photoshoot?

I'm not picky on where to meet up. I'm located in the south burbs, but am will to drive anywhere.

There are lots of restaurants along 394 in that area, so finding a place for food shouldn't be a problem. How far do you want to travel to take some photos? How about Stillwater

I posted the meet info on MNBMW so feel free to post on bimmerforums. Doesn't seem like we'll be having too people from here in attendance...

Kevin, are you OK with 1pm on Saturady? Assuming you still want to host of course!

I think we are on borrowed time with the weather now, so there may not be many opportunities for getting together in the near future. Hopefully we can organize some regular meets next year...

So I just heard from Kevin @ Imola that he will be out of town this weekend. We have a few options, so what do you guys think?

1. Kevin can have somebody at Imola for us if we wanted to still meet there
2. Reschedule to meet at Imola another time
3. Meet up at another location this Sat

BSME90, did you get any responses on the other forum? We are looking pretty poor for numbers on here!

Anybody else at all interested?

That's cool with me. I didn't get any responses on MNBMW either. Maybe it's just a bad time given it's the Thanksgiving weekened

Anyway, Saturday looks nice weather-wise, so I think I'll go for a drive anyway as I had my afternoon kept open

The most interesting road I've found in MN so far is Hwy 1, running south from Ely down towards Silver Bay. It's got many many fun undulating twists and turns. Even though it's quite a ways north, I'd highly recommend it.

Closer to home, I've heard that Hwy 35 in WI that follows the Mississippi south from Hudson is also fun to drive, though I've never done it myself. I might try this one on Saturday as Ely is a bit too far!

Hmm...I'll keep that in mind. I have nothing else to do on Saturday, so I may open up a map and go for a drive.
