Window One-Press Down

Hey guys, my one-press auto down feature no longer works after coding the FRM. This only happens to the front driver and passenger windows, the rear windows are perfectly normal. All other functions are normal, including the one-press auto up feature.

It doesn't matter what I code, even if I don't alter the .MAN file, the windows will not go down with one press. The only way to fix the issue is to code a blank .MAN to the FRM. But obviously, I lose the coding that I have done.

Can anyone chime in please?

This worked for me

If your battery was changed, then you need to reset the auto windows.

Initialization comprises:
• Erasure of initialization
• Reinitialization

An initialization must be performed:
• In the event of malfunctions, e.g. no one-touch control function, no opening or if available no comfort function is possible
• After the power window drive has been replaced
• After work is carried out on the power window mechanism
• After a power supply interruption, e.g. disconnection of the battery or disconnection of the power supply to the door
• After the door window glass has been removed and installed or replaced
• After adjustment work on the door window glass
• After adjustment work on the convertible top
• After replacement of seals

Erasure of initialization:
• Open door window glass fully
• Operate power window switch in "Open" position four times within 10 seconds

This erases initialization of the power window, anti-trapping protection and toll function are inactive.
Check whether one-touch control (toll) function is inactive, otherwise repeat procedure.

Reinitialization:
Avoid a break between the two steps!
• Open door window glass fully
• Operate and hold power window switch in "Close" position (second switch stage)
• Once the upper end position has been reached, hold power window switch in "Close" position for approx. 2 seconds longer
• Open door window glass fully
• Operate and hold power window switch in "Close" position (second switch stage)
• Once the upper end position has been reached, hold power window switch in "Close" position for approx. 2 seconds longer

I have tried that in the past, and it didn't work. I can have the windows work again just by resetting the FRM.

Like I said this only happens when I code to FRM. Whether I'm coding the default .MAN or an altered one doesn't seem to change the fact that auto-down no longer works.

Yes, I've coded a completely unmodified .MAN, and I still get the window roll down problem.

Try this:

FH_FAHRERTUER_TIPP_AUF & FH_FAHRERTUER_TIPP_ZU
Set both to active. This is the option for one touch open and close.

Not sure why this changed on its own. Same thing happened to me.

Haha I just found your thread on bmw coding! This worked flawlessly, thank you. My FH_FAHRERTUER_TIPP_AUF was not active. It is odd how this changes on its own

Cant close my door with the window up after a coding, then registering a new Battery.
Is there a CODING line in the .trc file for the "anti trap (anti pinch) mechanism" in the FMR (or other Modules...seems to be 3 similiar one in my 9/06 E92) that I can check to make sure its active for the drivers door? Switch initiation /resetting as mentioned above with the car running is not working......or should I just recode the Entire FMR (or other module) in EXPERTMODE according to my VO? (which contains the proper battery code now)

1. Load NCSExpert.
2. Load Profile and select Expertmode
3. F1 (VIN/ZCS/FA)
4. F3 (ZCS/FA f .ECU)
5. Choose E89 (for the E9X)
6. Select CAS
7. F6 (BACK)
8. F4 (Process ECU)
9. Select the Module I want to Revert back to Stock. I hope its FMR for Antipinch mechanism initiation
10. F2->Choose "SG_Codieren->ok
11. F3->to start coding the ecu with factory settings according to the vehicle VO.

WELL THIS THREAD WAS DEAD....................BUT FROM ANOTHER...........
TY for re-affirming my plan. I recoded in ExpertMode the CAS and FMR BACK TO VO and this fixed my problem immediately. Upon opening the drivers door to exit after coding the window operated perfectly. I did NOT need to erase or re-initialialize the module from the window switch.....
