boost drop at 5.5k rpm and stfts are high?
sami from bmw discord noticed something was off with my log (ty sami) my stft's were at or above 20%. my car is tuned by wedge, it's stage2+. my mods and log are listed below.
V3 Stage 2 eBay 19t's VRSF Catless DPs Mishimoto 5" FMIC Muff delete VRSF Dual Cone Intakes 5 Index 12's 1 index 11 injectors bms Chargepipe (stock diverter valves) VRSF 2" Inlets 3.5 Bar Tmap 2 Step Colder NGK @ .02 Eldor Coils Vadersolutions stage 2 LPFP Upgraded PCV XHP Stage 3 Custom tune by Wedge replaced boost solenoids. replaced vacuum lines fresh drive belt kit (ps pump not installed but will throw in) manual intake valve cleaning https://datazap.me/u/sjjacob/custom-...og=0&data=3-21 ^custom wedge tune my boost drops at 5.5k rpms to 10 from 16-17 i believe, i should technically be getting 19-20 psi but i don't know what else is causing it to consistently run 16-17 and drop at 5.5k. i ran an ots map and noticed i had zero boost drop from version 7 stage 2+, i'll include that log below. https://datazap.me/u/sjjacob/ots-v7-...og=0&data=3-21 ^OTS V7 STAGE2+ |

The ots map log looks better than the custom map. Looks like wgdc pulled down abruptly which dropped the boost. Wgdc base looks ok, its wgdc pid.
Looks like map related

What’s your rail pressure. Couldn’t find the parameter but I may have just missed it.
When did this start and what did you change/upgrade if anything when it first started. You aren’t hitting target boost anywhere. Sure you’ve got a drop at 5500 but you never get on target. Not familiar with the custom tune but you should be at or near 100 wgdc under spool mode then drop down to about 30 once you hit target climbing to 80 max for safety at or near redline which is not the case for you. Assuming nothing has been changed and the tune worked well, then you’ve likely got a hardware issue. If this was always the case then it’s tune related. Either way, you can see if wedge will take a look and redo your pid tables as he can probably do that on a few minute. |
