What exhaust tips mods did you buy
I'm looking for exhaust tips that fits on the car. I tried some on eBay with clamps and they don't fit.
What does everyone do for the exhaust tips? Which ones did you buy? |

Anyone got experience with the F30 M Performance tips?
18302354364 The tips I normally wanted to run arrived looking like dogshit so they are getting sent back. Wondering what direction to go now... EDIT These are 80mm according to a German source so a tad above 3" They will fill out base model bumpers and maybe M-Sport diffusers okay but anyone running the OEM M-Performance diffuser will need at least a 4" tip. MP Diffuser cutouts are pretty massive and made my 4" single wall tips look tiny. Quite possible the aftermarket variants have smaller cutouts but there are so many variants/sellers YMMV

These look like the eBay tips except about a half inch smaller? Wondering if it worth getting the eBay ones since they are about the same price and will fill out an M Performance Diffuser better..
Also, not sure why the seller specifies e91 only. They're tips lol. Should fit any dual exhaust e9x; frankly any car with dual tips and at least 4.5" exhaust cutout |

I really liked the look of the Cobb 335i exhaust tips. they are big but they complement my msport bumper in the back.

Yeah, I was looking for a easy clamp on install. Tried 2 sets of ebay carbon fiber tips and they just don't fit on. I'm about to go to a muffler shop to weld them unless someone had a easy bolt on one they know of?

To clarify I grinded off my stock exhaust tips of the pipes. I just have like the naked steel tailpipes.
But yeah, they aren't E92 specific tips for that's for sure. The tips I bought were inside the range of the sizing of my pipe that I measured and the seller confirmed they should fit no issues (I got refunds for both sets at least) but clamp doesn't tighten enough and one I can't even slide on all the way go figure. It seems for clamping tips you really need them to be almost exact to size. Was making the thread hoping someone out there sells E92 specific tips with a clamp on but I think I will just get the ones I have sitting at home welded on from a local shop. |

I got some chrome exhaust tips from a website like 3 years ago, looked way better than the way the stock exhaust looks. Unfortunately at this point I've pretty much forgotten what they were called.

Weld-on imo is the way to go but the adjustability of the clamp-on tips obviously can't be beat. There are benefits to both but I personally would like the security of a weld to potentially avoid a heartbreaking surprise of a missing tip after a spirited drive
Funny how all of us for some reason all synced into this one moment where we are all contemplating tip plans Sometimes I think the Matrix really is real

Ah yeah, that's also one thing to consider
Here in Killa Kali, we generally don't have to deal with salted roads, but it is a smart consideration if you do

If the clamp won’t tighten, why not put the cover over the actual tip and use a self tapping screw to hold it in?
I’m sure you can find a clamp on tip in the correct diameter. I’m assuming you measured the diameter of the stock steel pipes? |

Yeah, we're all in the other thread lol
I verified that the pipes are 60mm OD, assumed to be 58mm ID. BMW used 2.36" exhaust piping which is an awkward size considering most use either 2.25" or 2.5". Not a lot of options for tips that will work with our cars... not even "universal" tips work, they effectively have to be e9x specific
