DPF gut - can DOC be retained?

Can the particulate filter portion be removed from the DPF while retaining the DOC section? Or is it all combined?

I would just use a catted downpipe. Keeping that massive can in their right next to the turbos creates unwanted back pressure. Can't imagine it would be good for turbo health.
