detailed inside of the car now battery low :-(

Hi Guys,
I got my car interior detailed today by a detail specialist at my place, before detailing the car i told him to switch the interior light off as it has no kill switch. He said he will do that but after i got the car back now i m getting battery icon on my dash I spoke to him later & he said while detailing he had to open the door & close them frequently as in my driveway there is less space for people to pass by if the doors are open so i guess the inside light kept switching on by itself? damn bmw there should be a kill switch for the inside lights, he said its common with these cars & a small drive should solve it. now what should i do get the battery checked by bmw or get it charged? do you guys disconnect the battery while doing interior detail?

Thanks..

Do not disconnect the battery when doing interior work.

Get a battery tender and keep in hooked to the car doing interior work.

Go for a long drive. The alternator will do the work for you

The "battery light" usually means the charging system has a problem, not the battery. It may be completed unrelated coincidence, maybe the v-rib belt was "detailed" and now it's slipping instead of turning the alternator. Many possibilities
