E92 318 sometimes slow to start

Hi. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this. Sometimes, when OH presses the starter button (but doesn't keep it pressed), the engine turns for anything up to 20 seconds before starting. Keeping the button pressed doesn't seem to make any difference.

It's been to the dealer a couple of times but always starts first time for them.

I think the battery's OK and it seems to turn fast enough, so any thoughts on the cause would be appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion. It turned out to be the battery after all, a new one fixed it.
