Hi, I was just wondering if anybody has any input As to why the N 55 injectors on the 2011 BMW 335I I own are installed different than on all the videos I’ve seen of people removing and installing their n55 injectors? Mine have a full top plate with basically a two hole bracket installed on top of that instead of just the one 2 bolt bracket with the two holes I see on everyone’s videos(looks like a fidget spinner). Mine is a full dust cover that has an Allen bolt/plug that can be removed to access the bolt to the lower bracket. wouldn’t really say you could access it though because a socket won’t fit down there but you can see the bolt from there.
So after removing the aluminum full size cover there is another bracket holding both of the injectors in that won’t come out, unless you pull both injectors with it. So basically, my injectors have two brackets that hold them in not just 1. The aluminum cover also has an Allen wrench plug that I can take out of it to access the lower bracket bolt. It’s just so much different than all the ones that I’ve seen on YouTube and such. Also one of the two bolts holding the cover on is long the other is short. Where most have two long bolts with the other bracket. I’ll take a picture a little later but am yet to see another one set up the same as mine are with full covers and a lower bracket. |
