MHD V8.1 Maps

Got a 2nd overboost code (30FE + 3100) last weekend on 8.1 1+...Same reproduction mode, 2k RPM 6th gear + full load.

I'll flash back to 7.1 until fixed as driving with NO boost until engine restart on the highway is extremely annoying

Exact same issues with me. After driving around on 8.1 for a week or so I went back to 7.1.
7.1 feels so much stronger and zero issues. I will be staying with the 7.1 until the bugs are worked out of V8.1.

Same here, after reading all the issues with 8.1 I'm not going to bother flashing it.
My car doesn't seem to like the 8.0 beta as I get a lot of throttle closures with it.
Running perfectly fine on 7.1

I'm on the 8.1 stage 2. I haven't had any problems. Probbaly put 500 or so miles on it.

Same here, no problems with 8.1. Next month it's time for a custom tune by Ken.

Anyone doing "limit power by gears" in stage 1 maps, or you just leave it ticked off?
It feels less strong in second gear with that enabled... which is normal. I just want to protect my clutch, not sure how much life I have left in it.

I spoke with MHD. There will be a fix for the 8.1 maps coming out in January 2020. This will fix the throttle closures, timing corrections, over boosting codes etc .. that some of us have been experiencing.

He's currently on his second beta of the new 8.1 maps, they are less overall corrections but they caused my cyl 3 misfire code and it did not go away. I went back to the first beta of the new 8.1 maps and its a bit better overall, still some overboost during gear shifts but no misfire and less corrections overall. (randomly spikes to -3 and cyl4 is -5)
