I have 19” wheels that I run 235/35/19 F and 265/30/19 R
Seems the only good all-season option in these sizes are the continental DWS06 plus

Any other better or comparable options in these sizes other than these? The Michelin pilot sport all seasons don’t come in this size, or even the comparable 245/35/19 275/30/19

I have run summer tires all the years I’ve owned my e90 and am finally moving all seasons… I know I’ll probably won’t like them, but it just makes sense since I DD my car and drive a lot of miles per year…over 20k/year

Mich PS4S come in those sizes. I'd buy a set but I'm short on money for tires.

I don’t believe so… I’ve looked a few times.
I’m not seeing 265/30/19 rears anywhere listed. Nor do they come in 275/30/19

I have these tires on my X3 and they are good but as far as I can tell they don’t come in the sizes I need for my 19s on my e90

I've ran the Toyo Proxes Sport A/S on a previous car and they ran good in everything except snow but I account that for driver error. They come in both 265/30/19 and 235/35/19

These are the summer max performance tires...

I was talking the Michelin pilot sport All Seasons.

You can get the PSAS4's if you run a 255/35/19 in the rear. They do sell the 235/35/19 fronts, just not the 265/30/19 rears.

Or you could run square 255/30/19 front and rear. I run 255/35/18 F and 265/35/18 R.

FYI the DWS 06+ fared better than the Pilots in a head-to-head comparison done by TireRack. There’s also the SRS+ which are the same tire, sold through Discount Tire - they’re typically a bit cheaper through them.

I wouldn't bother switching sizes to go with something else, the DWS is a good tire if not the best all season out there.

I like Toyo tires but for this application the only two on my radar would likely be the DWS or the Michelin A/S4. I've had Michelin A/S3+ and DWS on my e90 and I think I prefer the DWS of the two. The Michelin is sharper but was pretty noisy and they turned the color of red clay anytime I parked in the sun. I miss the sharpness a little but the Contis are quiet, smooth, look better, and still have a ton of grip.

Buy them, you'll like them!

I've had the Conti's on for 6 months...Fall through Michigan winter. They did great in all conditions. I love them. I looked at eh Michelins, but they're more expensive, and in my experience at 50% wear Michelins get very loud and very hard feeling.

I bought the DWS06 plus’ a few weeks ago… haven’t mounted them yet though

Why use all seasons though? Just use summer performance tires. And then swap to winter tires for winter.

My choice for good bang for bucks are the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500.

The firestone's are good performers but they don't last long and are expensive now (used to be a pretty good deal when they came out).

A Michelin A/S4 will have better hot weather performance than even the firehawk but is also usable in winter. Lasts longer too. I feel the Contis grip as well as my firestones did too but you definitely sacrifice some road feel so they're not major contenders in the performance dept.

Ehhh yeah true I did notice they were a bit more expensive but thought it was just general inflation. That said I didn't see other options that were good price. What other options would you say are comparable?

Yeah but I don't understand personally living somewhere where winter tires are law, why anyone would want a 4 season tire for their winter usage. And by winter we're talking about snow here.

Oh wow, I didn't realize winter tires were a law up there. For extreme winter use I'd definitely agree with your approach--I was assuming OP had a bit more mild climate but I'm likely wrong given it says Northeast.

The firehawks are in a bit of their own category as they're low treadwear but a street designed tire. Given how quickly they wear, the Michelin PS4 or Conti ECS might be cheaper per mile in the longrun now that the prices have come up so much but maybe not.

Ok thanks yeah, I'm buying a set for this summer. I'd get Michelins for sure if I had unlimited budget I have some now I think super sport? Surprised the grip I get in wet. With the Firestone you need to drive more normally so to say. I'll see what is cheapest.

I just decided to buy a set of Conti DWS06+ instead of summer tires. For my real world, everyday driving I decided I couldn’t really justify the extra expense of pure summer performance tires. And the performance of performance all seasons has improved so much over the years.

Its a 560 treadwear tire cannot expect much traction. Could be ok for 328i, Awd or front.

You can`t go wrong with Continentals DWS06+ as an all season tire. I run them all year round, even in the snow they do really good.
The only downfall is that they wear out in 20-25k miles.

Treadwear and traction are 100% dependent on each other so not sure what you are trying to say.
you could have an all-season tire, or even a winter/snow tire with better traction in some instances than a summer tire.

and no 3 series is FWD... so

The conti's have plenty of traction, even for a higher HP vehicle.
I would bet they preform better than a sub-par low-end 'summer performance' tire that would have a much lower treadwear rating.

Treadwear and traction are inversely proportional. Higher the treadwear, harder the rubber, long life, lower the traction. Common tire knowledge.
When i say front, not fwd. front tire. To go along for the ride.

I recently installed a set of these tires on a high horsepower FWD car that I daily. I will say their traction (wet and dry) is the best you're going to get of any tire in this segment. Even in the wet, when they break traction, they don't just give up, they are still clawing and the car Is still accelerating quickly. They're actually better than many summer-only tires, and their sidewalls are stiff enough that you really don't lose any turn-in, if that's a concern. In my case, there are too many late spring and early fall days where we get surprise snowfall and cold temps so summer-only tires are not an option for me. I still run dedicated winters, but the all season compound keeps me rubber side down in those in-between months.

I'm going to say that this tire challenges that norm. Really, they're that good.

I'm new here BTW, just looking into educating myself on these cars prior to purchase. Just figured I could chime in on a topic I have firsthand experience with now.
