There is one universal version, and several customized versions for different cars. I went with the universal black one, which is RC-5052AB (also the cheapest). There are also silver, blue and red colors available.

On the Dinan site once was stated that it doesn't fit M-Sport models, but now I can't find that statement.

So today I installed the intake snorkel for cold air feeding. It went great, the snorkel is placed inside the brake duct for the coldest air possible ! See the additional pictures in the first post. As you can see, this intake also works for Power Kit and 335is cars fitted with the additional water cooler.
I had the chance to test the intake a little in the real world, and on the low-end it's just incredible compared to a DCI. Much, much better low-end torque than my previous DCI. |

![]() By the way, I know that you wanted to install the Power Kit cooling radiator and was worried about the filter not fitting in the bumper anymore. Maybe you can do something like this... |

I'm working on something similar.
I'm concerned about the tube in the engine bay. If it touchest part of the engine, there is a concern about it melting. I bought some heat tape to wrap the parts that may touch. Will that solve it?

It depends on what tube are you using. If you use 2-ply silicone ducting (search Google Images for "2-ply silicone ducting" to see how it looks) which is the best you can use for this application, you will have no problem because it can withstand 150-200 degrees Celsius. I wouldn't use plastic vacuum cleaner hose though.

True, i could but what I have now is working perfectly so I'll just leave it the way it is. Also, I did end up selling the kit so I don't have to worry about it.

I still think an open cone with an extension tube will bring in more air. I just pulled the trigger on the Injen intake. I am convinced that it's the best factory made intake for the money next to DCI..... I was hoping for a bit more torque than dci... still haven't done full wot runs with it yet, just some driving around town until I determine if my fmic is sound. I think I am loosing a psi with it.

Good stuff - I may try this mod soon. What is it about the stock airbox that quiets up the turbos? Just where it sits, or is it because of the sealed box?

Here's a thought.. I don't have one of these K&N Apollos in hand yet, so i'm not sure of possible clearance issues, but from all the pics, they look about the size of your typical DCI cone.. Why not run dual K&N Apollos mounted just like DCIs with one hose running right into the stock air duct normally going to the stock air box, and the other hose running down to the front bumper
