Is there a way to tell if my car has heated seats by looking?

Basically I have a very well specced 330i with only one of the few options not bought being heated seats. Is it possible the seats have the elements in?

Is it possible to actually look and tell from underneath if the elements are there for the retrofit?

Cheers

You could see if the seats have the wiring going to the seat base and back from the module perhaps, but I'm pretty sure the seats don't all just come with the heating elements in from factory so if not specced then think you'd need to buy the relevant seats too.

It is unlikely that all seats had the heating elements built in but it is certainly worth checking underneath each of your seats for wiring that appears to go nowhere just in case you do have them fitted.

I have to admit they would not be high on my priority list of must have gadgets. Over the last 25 years I have had heated seats in big Vauxhalls, Jaguars, Volvo, Porsches and now BMW's and have never found the need to use them. Perhaps I have a naturally warm bottom!

Now a heated steering wheel is a useful feature but apart from in hire cars I have never managed to have one of those!

Unless you have a skinny arse and live in Arctic Norway I would spend my time and money elsewhere.

if you do not have heating seat buttons, you do not have seat heating

I know my car doesn’t have the option however I know Bmw are known to have things in place etc.

Given the car has full electric memory with bolster/lumbar support I though maybe there’s a chance they have the elements present too.

I also only want it for the buttons to be present lol.
