2011 335xi Engine Malfunction Warning
I have about 110k miles on my 2011 335xi and I'm getting an "Engine Malfunction" notice on my display. A quick google search revealed a bunch of possible issues but a lot of those threads are old so I thought I'd post here to see if anyone has gone through a similar issue. Here's what I'm dealing with.
-First came on friday during some 'spirited' street driving -Will go away after turning the car off, but will come back if I hit WOT -Engine will stutter with throttle -I have suddenly gotten a 'low oil' warning. Adding 1qt didn't fix the problem. I don't see signs of leaks anywhere. -For as long as I've owned the car, 1 out of 150 starts have a long crank. -It's been 100 degrees here in the last few days I can try to pull codes, but I don't have enough time to get to the shop this week. Would it be terribl if I drive it around gingerly until then? Thanks for the help. Last edited by Ageispolis; 07-21-2019 at 12:41 PM.. |
