backup mirror operation

I've noticed that my left hand, drivers side mirror, does not angle down when I reverse. The right side does, and the switch is set.
When I manually change the mirror, it works fine in any direction I adjust it. Before I get into it, I wondered if anyone on this forum had any ideas.

Unfortunately only the passenger side mirror will tilt down on reverse per the manual. I believe it's so you can see the curb clearer when parking, but it would be nice if the option existed for both sides to tilt.

Thanks Cal122, after I posted, it dawned on me that the driver's side most likely doesn't. I'm with you, wish it did.
