yes I keep the full version up for a week, then delete them.
they take up too much storage space.

What version / year of car are you trying to program ?

I dont know who's version you downloaded,

It's my E series programming only. I have 3.66 ISTAP.

Yes, thanks. I know this guide but it still does not say anything about ISTAP and SDP BLP files correct location at all.

On page 2 it says put those files into D:\bmw\rheingold but the screenshot shows an ISTAD folder structure. Furthermore it says this is for F,G,K.I programming only.

Also I have read you don't need ISTAD to use ISTAP for E-Series as you can't program with ISTAD.

I am looking since weeks for an answer but apparently nobody knows.

By the way. Thanks for sharing your amazing archive!

Exx- Series

Interface = K+DCAN Cable (OBDII to USB) or ICOM
ECU Data Files = SP-Daten
NCS Expert = Coding Software
WinKFP = Programming (Flashing) Software
EDIABAS = Low-Level ECU Communication Software used by NCS Expert & WinKFP

you dont need ista-p for an E series

On my E series all I use is

ISTA-D 4.01.21 - Spider80 version (I prefer this version as I can alter my egr settings, mine is set at 0.7)
89 SP-Daten
NCS Expert
Inpa

yes, I have an ICOM and ISTAD, INPA, and NCSEXPERT works fine.

But updating software with ISTAP is much easier and safer as you can ensure the I-Level is kept across all modules. WINKFP is too complicated in my opinion. Updating the files manually into correct folder. Also I can't find the ZUSB on my E83. It does not show this part in INPA. ISTAP is click and go.

Thanks for your uploads J0k3R5. I’ve successfully installed Rhinegold Ista/d, Ista/p, and BMW standard tools thanks to your files. But how can I update my PSdZ with your latest updated file? Just delete the current PSdZ file in the Rhinegold folder and replace with the latest from your cloud drive?

BMW doctor (YouTube) does a pretty good (but annoying) tutorial on how to update it. Tells you exactly what to do.
