I'm getting a Valentine 1 without POP detection. Is this really important or not?

I've read a bunch of conflicting reports about the POP thing, so I rather hear from all of your personal experiences if it is really necessary.

I've heard of POP but can't find any info on it. What the heck is it???

Finally figured out what it is. It's a relatively new type of radar gun that sends out a short burst with the idea that it's so fast a radar detector won't pick it up. It makes the radar gun harder to detect, but it's arguably less accurate because it's working with such a short duration to measure the doppler shift.
