I have heard of this show through the local Evo community. It gets good reviews each year! I will try to make it out this year, but it still is a ways off for me.

I helped put on this event for 3 years while I was at UMD. We started with the Comcast Center parking lot almost full and last year we had 4-5 extra parking lots packed to the brim all day long. All sorts of sick cars, definitely worth coming out for a few hours. Would love to see a big ground of nice BMW's.

Get a life dude. I guess you missed the lamborghini and saleen mustang in the picture? In the past few years, we've had ridiculously nice cars. Multiple Lamborghinis, Carrera GT, Lotus, huge clubs of Cobras, Vettes, Challengers/Chargers, Z/G's, IS300's, Supras etc. Last year the meet drew nearly 5000 people, so I'm sure there is more than 'rice'.

You should probably come out and see the nice cars for yourself before you talk a bunch of crap with your elite 3 series Bimmer...

Think I'll be going to this for the 1st time, which is ironic since I never even went when I was a student at UMD. Would love to meet up with a few E90Post fellas beforehand or there

On a side note, is the dyno worth signing up for?

I'd be down for cruising to it together... meet somewhere central (I know a bunch of guys on here are from the NoVA area) and drive to it. Would be pretty cool to pull in with a big group of bimmers

That'd be sweet. I want to roll in together so I can meet some new E9X owners, but most importantly so I don't get stuck next to a rice rocket with an eBay muffler.

We would have to get there early-ish to avoid all the traffic. I heard the traffic gets insane.

I'm down. I went a few years back in my WRX and there was a nice turnout but this looks much bigger.

Let do this for two reasons: it's for a good cause to raise money to help those less fortunate and increase the BMW presence.

I did this years ago with the Mid-Atlantic Cobra Association and it started off with 4-5 Cobras, now that group brings close to 50 cars.

Let's get a good turnout. I have a pop-up tent to help out with the heat and we can bring some coolers. Think of the Tailgate Mafia without the booze!

Jason, I'm not positive, but in the past we've not allowed any kind of tents. I know it gets hot, but we already have very limited parking since the meet got so huge, so we don't want people taking up spots with their tents. Plus I believe a tent blew away a few years ago and we don't want someone's car to get damaged. Feel free to bring plenty of coolers and drinks though, as the line for water usually gets pretty long.

Also, if you guys meet up as a group, give your $1 donations or canned food item to the main group leader who will drive in the lot first. He can give everything to the guys at the gate so that you guys can all roll right in instead of each person having to stop at the gate. Makes it much easier for the club to handle, so it works out for everyone. Our Cobra club does this every year.

Screw it, bring a tent. Just put it in the grass, not in the parking lot.

let's meet at the Ikea again at 11am. We'll meet in the lot closer to the Bugaboo Creek steakhouse since its bigger than the one in from of BWW. Plus, people need to stay out of the covered lot behind Ikea where people got kicked out of last year.

For those in VA, I'll be here in the morning till 10a before I roll out to College Park
