E92 Floor Mat Fixings

Anyone got any better ideas than the velcro discs that stop the floor mats moving? The adhesive on the velcro hooks keeps losing it's grip causing them to slide fwd obsrtucting the pedals . Didn't the previous version use a different mat fixing method?

Yeah they are a bit crap.
The E46 had a much better system with the mats being screwed into the floor using 1/4 turn screws.

The same thing happened in my wife's 120d and it got so bad that the mat kept jamming up behind the clutch.
We complained to the dealer (safety issues and all that) and they replaced them with new mats all round.
They have been fine since.

Is it possible to use the same system on the E9x's?

Thanks for offering, I had a spare set of discs from the rubber mats I bought for the winter so I've used those for now.

I was looking for a more robust solution that befits a vehicle of BMW status not the Lada system they have adopted
