SoCal - 1/4 Mile Drag Racing

Anyone want to meet up at Fontana AAA Dragway for the street legal event on Sunday, February 15th?

There will be a few members going with FBO ethanol & meth setups..
Let's get some Wedge and PTF tuned cars out there to see how they do..

This strip runs up hill and the times you put down are high compared to other tracks. Still a lot of fun.(did I mention the long lines?)
I might come out and see what what my single turbo N54 traps on the 1/4. AT so wont push her too hard.

You should definitely bring your car out. I know this track is slow but like you said it's still enjoyable. If I can get 5-6 passes in then I'm satisfied. I also want to race you and see how bad you pull me up top.

Might come out to this, last time I went was about 3 or 4 years ago and the lines were pretty damn long.

Last time I was at that strip(5yrs ago) I did mid 12's @ about 115mph. Stock snails, catless DP's and race gas. I'm guessing you can do low 12's with the power you are putting down. Should be fun.

You planning on being there early?

what do you think it will trap, 130-135 mph ?

How was it? Crowded? I thought there was some talk that they were going to level out the strip so it wouldn't be running up hill anymore.

The event was fun. The tech lines were ridiculously long but luckily I was one of the first cars to get checked. I did 5 runs in an hour and left. My best of the day was 11.949 @118.

I also heard they were thinking of leveling out the track but I think they'd be better off switching the start and finish lines.

The next event should be early next month some time. Haven't checked out the schedule. I probably won't be back for awhile though. My next 1/4 mile will be at Famoso.
