So I just read this on N54tech, and there we go. So its not JUST a downpipe, its everything but the muffler.

Very good gains from that alone, now if they are going to be selling it like that, then that is an awesome package.

$600 for the dp and single mid-pipe then i agree with it, but not $600 for just a piece of straight dp which is too expensive.
so RSI, Does it come with mid-pipe?

i Doubt it comes with a mid pipe. that mid pipe shown in the picture looks like just a regular muffler shop did it, alot of welds too.

Isnt this very similar the HPF's exhaust system minus the downpipe!? Single 4'' piping that leads all the way to the rear before splitting in to two pipes?

My question is: "Doesnt a too free flowing and exhaust cause more turbo lag?"

Has no one realized that this DP isn't for the E9x platform?

According the RSI own site the following vehicles utilize this DP:

2011+ F10 F11 535i
2011+ F10 535iX Sedan
2011+ F12 640i Convertible
2011+ F13 640i Coupe
2009+ E70N X5 35iX SUV
2010+ E71 X6 35iX SAC
2011+ F07 535i Gran Turismo
2011+ F07 535iX Gran Turismo

Maybe I'm blind, but I don't see E9x anywhere on that list...

Thread Fail... The reason it's a single pipe is because those models listed have a different OEM pipe than the E9x series... It's a single in/out, versus the single to Y-split (on the E9x). Now if your looking to completely redo your exhaust system, from DP back, this is one way of doing it... BUT... to each their own.

if you look on 1addicts, they have the downpipe coming out for the 135i/335i. the pic i posted was for reference. the f10 535i downpipe is a little different from the 135i/335i but it will be the same concept

here's the 1addicts thread. it has twin midpipes like the e90/e92.

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=612760

regardless, this downpipe will require a custom midpipe (made by an exhaust shop), but the gains should be worth it!

Just because this DP is not split does not give it any benefit over any other DP that is made that has the split. The dual split from other manufacturers will still flow the same amount. The only difference this will make is possibly a slightly different tone. The HP/TQ increase of the RSi over the other DPs is because, one there is a midpipe they are using, 2 possibly an aftermarket muffler on this dyno as well (It doesnt say from what I read though) Also the TQ it made was on a spike.

Any intro price, or special price for someone looking to install this exact setup?
Turbo back all the way.

i guess we'll see soon enough. RSi is giving a dp to terry for the bms development 135i. if it breaks 400whp with just switching out the downpipe, i'd say it's worth the price/hastle to modify the exhaust
