What to use to put on E92 OEM front lip spoiler

Hey guys quick question, just got the OEM front lip spoiler off of eBay for my 07 e92. I was wondering what was the best way to put it on. They gave me a couple of screws but I heard about using the 3m tape or some sort of glue for the car. What would you guys recommend, I won't be removing it any time soon, so once it is on its on to stay.

Thanks in advance

Definitely 3M double-sided tape and the screws on the bottom of the bumper is all that's needed. No glue is needed at all.

Thanks for the quick reply will the front lip still sit flush if the 3m tape is used? I'm afraid it will stick out from the factory bumper I just want a clean professional look.

3m double sided tape and screws should be enough.

3M tape is what the factory uses. It won't stick out if you do it correctly.

If you are refering to the mtech bumper lip, from the factory it comes glued on with this insane glue. You can buy it from the dealer and its expensive.

It you use 3M tape its very tricky to put on the lip. Its kind of a one time shot thing.
Definitely a two person job. And yes it will raise it up especially when looking from the side where it meets the bumper right in front of the wheel.
Personally i used the 3M tape, it holds up pretty good. Glue would have been better tho

If you use the dealer glue you get a bit of time to adjsut and align all the spots and everything will be flush. One downside with the glue is you will never ever be able to take the lip off.

Thanks everyone for the input, thats exactly what I was thinking. I believe it would stick out in the corners too. Thanks for the link to the 3m tape, still debating what to do. Below is the link to the glue I would buy which is BMW made as well as specifically for what I am trying to accomplish.

Here is a video to help with installation.

If your lip is made of polyurethane it will most likely have some areas where it's not flush with the bumper. Just use the 3M double sided tape on those areas and your good to go.

Thanks for the vid, only things is I wont be able to get the car up on the lift and I don't own a jack. Maybe I can just reach them if I go under I will have to see. Think I will go with the double sided tape.

Put it up today with the 3m tape very cold out and the tape had trouble sticking. There are some gaps along the sides and middle. Screws went in just fine looks about 80%. Think I should take it to a body shop and have them put it on right for 30 bucks or buy the beta link adhesive and do it on a sunny day.

I would definitely wait for a warm day. Even heat the tape up a bid with a hair dryer and make sure the bumper is clean.

Ya gonna redo it, since its been so cold over on the east coast the tape will not stick. Will have to redo it once the weather gets warmer and I can take out the bumper again and sand the inside a little to make it stick. Ugh pain!

Hey you should consider having it molded to the bumper. Seen a few pic of one molded on and it looks amazing.

Interesting, how is this done? Just take it to a local auto body shop?

I would assume so. Body shop will blend it into the bumper
