anyone register yet?

just got mine (registered at DMV) while i was renewing my license.. i heard its required by law to register, or you'll get sentenced to jail up to 5 years

so, whats this service all about?

I don't think I've registered yet. Basically, you have to register for the Selective Services so that if the draft is reinstated, they'll have potential soldiers on file.

Yeah, I had to register when I was 18 still in high school. I believe I filled out the form the same time I registered to vote.

So what is the age you can be inducted in military for draft/selective service if instituted? What is the age you would not be drafted?

All males between 18 and 25 years of age are required to register. Search Google for Selective Services.

I never received anything by the mail or my highschool. I'm already 20 years old. I'm going to sign up online.

I had to register when I filed for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) when I was in college.

Yup, I'm registered. According to the website http://www.sss.gov/FSwho.htm:
