Went to a seminar with my dad, didn't learn anything that my dad hadn't already taught me. Granted it was just a little taste of what they would teach you.. I don't think that it is worth the money. Their way of trading only gets you in for a small amount of the move.. Although it is more safe, it is best used for long term trading..

I do however use their toolbox to look at industry groups, fundamentals, options, and a bit of news.. As for their charts, they don't look that great.. A bit slow on a lot of the updates as well.

I haven't taken any of the classes, so I can't voice my opinion on them..

E-Trade charts are one of the worst, IMO. Yahoo! Finance is the cleanest, TradeKing has a lot of information to learn from, and yeah, there's just better alternatives out there.

As of right now, because of the financial situation they're in, their rates are very good, so I have a Roth IRA and a savings account with them (4.10 APY!? I'll take it ) but their commissions are ridiculously high. IMO you can learn elsewhere. The market is volatile, especially now, but it's never too early to start!

Expired also knows a lot more than I do haha, so listen to him, and FWIW I've taken his advice and learned to read charts and that has helped me exponentially in finding the bottoms and peaks of stocks.

I use Scott Trade to play around in the market, I have my 401k for the majority of my investing, but I have a little nestegg in the market that I like to manage myself. Makes it fun to do and you learn a lot.

I'm not sure about a lot more.. I've only learned all of the main info needed to trade efficiently from my dad.. I'm sure we are on the same level, if you don't already know more than me.
