Thanks. Took a while to get used to the blue (being the typical black, white, silver, gray car owner) but no regrets now.

Ordered them from the stealership. I have the rear ones too but just haven't felt like dissecting the rear panels again...yet.

I am considering it. Was gonna have them custom-painted, but haven't decided. I'll let you know. (I no longer have the center console, however, which may not have worked anyway unless you have an E93 with iDrive.)

I love carbon leather more than any other type of carbon.. The gloss cf seems out of place on the e9x interior and looks like it belongs in a different type of car. The cf wraps seem to look cheap imo and no depth.

but the cf leather imo is perfect and sill has some luxury to it with the way it looks, I know I can't describe it well.

but I love the cf leather in the M3. That said I don't think I'd change up my beige and dark wood combo because I do love that as well, but if I did change it would be cf leather.

car is looking beautiful!

Thanks! I went back and forth when I had the Performance CF in the car. I loved it in indirect lite but really disliked it when it turned gold in direct lite, even tho the interior was creme beige and it matched up pretty well.

I still love the M3 carbon leather, especially when the top is down. Light would reflect off the CF, casting some highlights across the windshield, especially at night, that would be distracting at times. "What was that?" kinda thing.

If you really like the M3 CL, keep yours eyes open on the M3 forum. Some may come up.

As you can see in the picture, it is very close....not perfect but much closer than some I've seen on the forum, especially in those cases when a non-OEM piece is used. Mine is OEM.

I installed this myself after reading the DIYs on the forum and made use of some of their tips, the most important ones being placement of double-sided tape and putting a small amount of Windex on the tape to keep it from sticking right away. I think it would be nearly impossible to get this piece on anywhere near perfect without the latter unless you have 3-4 pairs of hands.

The trick then was to get it on and move from side to side pushing the piece into position while waiting for the Windex to evaporate and have it line up perfectly. Not having done this before, I panicked a bit when it wasn't sticking as fast as I thought it would. But then, all of the sudden, it stuck, like it was on a timer. And, you can't be everywhere at one time, so...

The driver's side (which you see above) is less flush than the passenger side, the latter being 98.9% perfect. But, the results one both sides (and the top edges where it meets the bumper) are very acceptable when you do a walk around, even if you are as anal about these things as I am.

The only way to get it more perfect would be to have help, which is a great idea.

The good news: It's holding up extremely well. The tape shows no signs of giving way. And I could not be happier with the paint job that that Evan @ Tischer BMW arranged. Perfectly matched and incredibly durable.

i just got mine (oem) installed and it's not flushed on both sides. i got it installed at a local shop. i've asked a couple of other shops and they said it looks normal and it's installed right.

i've seen a lot of aero lips that are flushed on both sides (non-oem and oem). and i've also seen it not flushed.

I don't recall ever seeing pics of an aero lip on a car that was ordered with the aero package from BMW but that would be interesting to see.

I might have been able to get the driver's side a little closer but it's certainl not worth the effort now. I doubt if anyone would ever notice it not being flush if they were walking around it for the first time. Still pictures always bring out the worst.

Post some pics?

Sapphire gets a butt lift

Just got my Performance-style trunk spoiler that I (skeptically) ordered off eBay (although I got my last one in the same way and was pretty happy with it). But...I was worried about fitment for my E93 on this new piece.

I am absolutely amazed at the quality of the piece, paint job and fitment. All 100%! It doesn't have quite as high of a kick as some others I've seen but it is perfect in proportion for my car with the stock bumper.

Ordered this new piece from emotors2000 on 3-9-14 (from Taiwan, thru China...correction...as pointed out by poster below) and received it FedEx today (3-19-14)...only 10 days after ordered! (Estimated time of delivery on the site was March 31-April 11th so I woulda been shocked to get it today if I wasn't tracking it.)

Part, paint (perfect match) and shipping for $99. Incredible!

Here's the eBay link:

Thumbs up Thanks for Spoiler shots

First of all your car looks Awe+Some. Great Job!

Secondly, thanks so much for the spoiler pics and update. I am very close to ordering one. I really wanted the Alpina but it is pricey around 750-800 unpainted. I am seriously considering just getting this one. emotors has been praised for their quality and service.

Thanks! I was in the same boat. The only rear spoilers for the E93 that turned me on were the M3 style, which I had, or the Alpina, which is pricey, for sure. Then I saw this one. I think you'll be very happy with it. As I've said, the quality of the piece itself, the paint job they did and the fitment were perfect. Amazing bargain. In fact, I wrote to them to praise their product and workmanship and they asked to use these pics on their site. They sounds like genuinely nice guys.

Wink

I ordered the Alpine White 300 spoiler on the 11th and it was delivered yesterday. Absolutely amazing. The customer service and Kelly were completely amazing. I was notified that Alpine White does not always match and they would refund me the difference for a non painted spoiler. I was so impressed with their service and communication that I decided to just let them go ahead and paint it and if it was really that much off I would take to a local shop.

I am so happy I went that route as it seems like a very close match and the quality of the spoiler and paint were well worth having them do it as it was a very professional done job.

I am very impressed that they can get the spoiler painted and delivered from Taiwan in under a week. I am still waiting for a splitter I ordered over a week ago from Puerto Rico.

I will get it installed this week and post some pics.

Beautiful! I'm pondering a purchase of a E93 and was wondering about the monaco or montego blue with cream. Thinking the black parts are pretty common, I was pondering doing what you just did, and now that I see it is actually possible, this encourages me to go with the color combo I mentioned above all the more, rather than waiting for a harder to find color combo like monaco/saddle.

How'd you get the leather to cover the the top part of the doors? Did a shop do that?

Do you have a list of part numbers like you mentioned earlier? I can't seem to find it in this thread. Thanks!

Thanks. Yes...I took my car to the local auto upholstery shop that did most of the work for my local dealer and he ordered the matching VINYL for the tops of the doors. He got it from somewhere in California and it was pretty much a dead-on match.

And...it has held up very well, showing no signs of premature wear or aging. And I keep the top down A LOT.

Sadly, my old laptop with all of the part numbers crashed but I think I have the numbers in my Passport back up somewhere. I'll try to dig them out. If I can't find 'em, they are pretty easily found on RealOEM.com.

Sapphire gets a square setup

Decided to go to a square setup on Sapphire for a number of reasons. Fortunately, I had a an extra set of 19x8.5s in the garage (that I had trashed by hitting a concrete median. Reminding us all...once again...not to text and drive. ) I had them refinished last week and threw them on the front, cross-rotating the fronts to the rear*.

So...I now have all four corners the same: Alufelgen CS7s in 19x8.5 with Conti Extreme Contact DWs (*non-directional tires) in 235/35-19. I added Macht Schnell 12mm spacers in the rear to match the look I had with the 19x9.5s. The car is lowered in front only with lowering perches.

Man I wish I had blue sometimes also. Alpine white looks damn good but it's too common. The car is sick but if I were you I'd go with some hyper silver m359s and the side profile would looks amazing.
