I paid $390 for that BS and I never used it in 5 years, and it's expiring next month. One stupid SA told me to find some nails and drive over them. What a dumb a**. And we wonder why people who are unethical are drawn into the car business like moths to a flame.

Got mine and used it 5 times in less than a year. its awesome. works really well when you have to replace a $435 flat. not to mention when your tires wear out in 15k miles a simple nail can get you a new one =)

its more than paid for itself

Aside from being unethical, the insurance won't pay if your tires are below a certain amount of tread.

What'cha going to do, drive over 4 nails? That is called insurance fraud and is a felony.

Ran out of money! it was Zurich tire and wheel insurance. Bought it for 600$ in 2009. Paid for itself 5 times over, but apparently I only had an allotment of something like 2500$. Meh.

Good or bad, I just cancelled my tire and wheel insurance recently on my 2011 that I have had for 8 months now. I had paid about $1200 for 5 years.

The runflats are expensive to replace but I believe they protect the rims somewhat better than non-runflats.

Mine more than paid for itself after getting both of my fronts replaced due to sidewall bubbles.

Unfortunately thats the opposite. Non run flats have more flexible sidewall to absorb impact. That insurance is a no-brainer if you have 19".

Leaker is spot on. I have hit an epic pothole last month with my BMW 199 19"s with Yoko S-Drives. The rim was fine, and so was the tire. With my RFTs I would have had a bubble guaranteed. Yes, with 19"s tire / wheel insurance is a MUST! I hope I can get a better plan with my next BMW in August.

Its one of my biggest regrets. In less than two years I've bent probably about 3 rims and cracked one. I've also gone through like 5 or 6 tires. I even try to avoid them and drive slow, but it doesn't make much of a difference. They shouldn't make low profile run flats at all.

Maybe I'll fly out to Louisiana to get my next car- bet it would be cheaper than this Tri-Hate Area.

Au contraire--I paid $1700 off list when the E92 335 had been on the road for only 1 to 1 1/2 mos. Seems like west coasters were paying way more. That was 10/06 and I took delivery 12/06.
