Couldn't see a build thread section of the site so i thought id put mine here! This is really just so i can have everything i do to my car in one place - i probably wont be able to update it as much as i want to (because everything costs money!) But its just a good way to document it

I bought a Crimson Red E90 LCI 330d (09) about a month ago, i thought i would be able to resist doing anything to it but i just need to make it mine!
The car came out the factory as an SE model with upgraded sport suspension, Bi-Xenon Headlights/light pack, paddle shift and the Pro CIC nav system.

I have a shopping list of things i want to buy, which will no doubt change over time, but if you have something for sale that's on my list please let me know because id much prefer to buy off someone on here than eBay and such like!

Shopping List: (Green = done/ Red = not done/ Amber = on order)

Gloss black 330d Badge
Gloss black Kidney Grilles
Pressed Plates
LED Angel Eyes
Smoked LED Repeaters
Wheel Spacers
Gloss black window Trims
Remap with EGR blank
Performance Air Filter
LED fog lights
Paint Calipers and hubs (unsure on colour yet)
Lowering Springs
Gloss black wrap on roof? (undecided)
Gloss black refurb on wheels/New wheels
Lamin X headlight tint
335d Exhaust Setup

Ill try to keep the pictures as good as i can with the limited photography equipment i have at my disposal. Gonna go out later and take some more

Grabbed a couple of snaps today while i was out! Just to show the new plates and badge.

Ordered the smoked side repeaters today as well so hopefully a few goodies coming in the post over the next few days!

So i got home from work and my neighbors had kindly accepted the delivery of my bulbs!

Gonna go out in a mo and see if i can get any good shots to show what they look like!

Bit annoyed as these only have 4 LEDs per light and the posting showed bulbs with 8 LEDs.... Ill message the seller and see what they have to say!

The only other thing was that cramming the bulbs themselves with the big heat-syncs, and the resistor packs into the light housing worries me slightly... im sure its gonna get pretty warm in there!

Still waiting to get some good pics of the angel eyes, but my side repeaters arrived today! Probably one of the easiest mods I've ever done!

Old ones off, clean road crud off, new ones one. Took 5 mins!

I Forgot to take a before pic, but you all know what the standard repeaters look like

I cant really spend any more on the car until September now, but in september, ill be ordering the Black grilles, Performance air filter, lamin x headlight tint, Calipers (if i have decided on colour at this point) and Wrap window trims.

Once ive got all of these smaller things out the way i can get on with the lowering, spacing and wheels (expensive bits -.-)

Nice car! Love the Crimson Red.

Could you tell us if those angel eye bulbs dim from off to full brightness when you unlock the car like the original halogens? Or if they switch on in one shot?

If they dim, do you have a link to the product?

Welcome and congrats on the new ride! Crimson is such a sweet color to mod and you're already off to a great start!! IMO you should definitely get your roof wrapped gloss black or even get it painted gloss black!

Yeah side repeaters were dead easy, just pull towards the back of the car then pull outwards towards you

Thanks man, I've seen another with it done and it looked pretty good! Ill go for whatever i can get the best deal on at the time

A setback in the plans has occurred

I got to my car this morning and there is giant, deep key mark in the rear passenger wing :'( some little b*astard has keyed my baby.

Money for next months mods will now no doubt have to go on repairing it....

Ill put a pic up later when i can bring myself to look at it again.

Such a sad day.

I never understood why people do this to cars. It's the most frustrating thing to come out and find this, or when someone dings your car in the parking lot.

Good luck getting it fixed, hopefully insurance will be able to take care of it for you.

Update:

Gloss black kidney grilles are on the way!

Also the Key Mark will be fixed soon-ish, got a paintwork repair friend looking to fit me in!

Im asking my local group if anyone has any wheel spacers for sale, but if nothing comes up soon ill just be ordering new, so these will be next!

Springs will hopefully be a Christmas present from the mrs

So My gloss black grilles arrived yesterday!

Got the old ones out and the new ones in pretty quick, looks decent!

Just need to wrap the window trims to match now!
