e92 and oem Individual Audio coax in rear quarters?

does anyone know if the OEM Individual Audio coaxial speaker (pn 65137838915) will fit in the 2011 e92 rear quarter panels? and is that a viable PnP solution (either with or without an MS-8)?

i have a 2011 e92 coupe with the HiFi sound option. i suspect i have a standard configuration, but my exact setup doesn't show up in any of the identifying docs that i've seen. i have the HiFi setup for e92 on this page *except* my rear mids are in the quarter panel (not the rear shelf). (no rear tweeters anywhere).

all the documentation i see is for the IA coax on the rear deck, or the IA components in the quarter panel. i'd like to see if the IA coax works in the rear quarter panel. (i assume the crossover is built into the IA coax).

(for the fronts, i'm thinking:

Individual Audio components for e92 front doors.
midrange: 65137838905
tweeter: 65137839851
crossover: 65137838929
connector: 65137839853
all the above show as compatible with 335xi e92 2011 at realoem.com)

thanks

You need to get the Individual Audio coaxials of the Sedan rear doors. Those will fit the Coupe rear quarters.

I have those in my Coupe.

awesome thanks Technic! that would be 65137838916 then.

i know incremental approaches are sometimes frowned upon, but i'm thinking:

phase I: MS8
phase II: IA front components
phase III: IA rear coaxial

your install on this e90 suggests i might be happy with the OEM HiFi underseats with some MS8 magic. has your opinion changed since then? otherwise somewhere after phase I i may need to do the underseats.

would the ms8 internal amp be adequate for the IA speakers, or should i be looking at adding an amp when i address the fronts?

(eventually i'll be requesting one of your legendary harnesses!)

thanks!
