First of all: Thanks to all the forum members that have provided the information for my successful flash. All credit goes out to you.

I flashed my 2011 E90 LCI 184HK, but i failed at 11% and the gearbox was broken. Luckyle I was able to revert to the original firmware. (Guide provided)

Can anyone help me sort out this error, because i really want the Alpina software :-)

Failed at 10 - 12% with this error:

[21:51:38.674] [2018-05-16] [--] 1020 Error COAPIKF.CPP coapiKfInit 31
[21:51:38.674] [2018-05-16] [--] File could not be opened for reading info.eng

UPDATE: Fixed the problem - Installed all the BMW tools again using another guide, instead of Mikes easy BMWTools setup.
Working guide/video for BMW Tools setup: forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=1126314 - This guide is valid..
NB: I Use Windows 10.

================================================== ==============================(19)

Here is the guide for reverting if flash fails or you just want to go back to stock :-)
DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR VEHICLE.

Going back to stock - Flash your transmission to the latest original software.
1: Once connected with WinKFP, Press (F1) comfort mode.
2: Press (F3) Update ZUSB and Choose ECU GKE215. (The newest software will automatically be selected)
3: Press (F4) VIN and Enter VIN (Important – Double-check that VIN number is correct) --> Click OK.
4: Press DONE (F8)
5: Press (F3) Program.
6: A pop-up window will now say you can code the ECU 63 more times. --> Click OK

Flashing begins and you will have to wait till it reaches 100% twice.
The first bar will finish rather quickly and then another bar progress of 100% will take about 3-4 minutes
the most and it will be completed.

7: If everything is done correctly, then you will get a pop up screen saying programming done. --> Click OK
8: Shut off car by taking the key out. Lock car with key and wait 5 minutes (Wait for the car to enter sleep mode) and then start the car.
9: Read and clear error code if any.

BTW I made this guide for flashing transmission. Mine failed at 11%, but I think the guide i OK. Maybe someone in here can confirm that it is OK?
The guide is made from div. threads from Bimmerpost.com.

Hi
You need SPDATEN for WinKFP.
You can download v60.1 from Bimmergeeks download page.

I used SPDATEN 53.something. Newer versions should include the same, but I cant be sure.

Remember, if you change the software, be sure to reset adaptions and do the basic burnin exacly as described. Here is a guide. https://bmw.***********.com/attachme...ions-pdf.2851/

The Alpina is the software i perfer over the xHP, but only if you have a remap that pulls until 4500 or more. If you dont have a remap, the gears will change to late. No remap, go with xHP stage 1 or 2.

I have tryed all the software and my recumentdations are build on fast shift with comfort in mind.

If you just want the fastest shift, go xHP stage 3.

Completely different transmission. Just get a Sutphin tune and be done with it.
