How often...

How often should one wax with a machine like a PC or flex?
if it bad to do it say, once a week?
will the clear coat start thinning?

With improper technique you can burn the paint if you do it only once a year. I think once a week is a little excessive. Once a month is perfectly fine.

okay

I don't know
thing is, during last summer, when I still had my 335i, I used to do it sometimes 3-4 times a WEEK
I used to put the PC in speed 1 and just slowly wax it
I had no problems, thing looked nice

felt nice, to me
but what do I know, I'm a supernoob lol
I plan on getting a new car real soon and I want to do it right
and yeah...

it's hard to burn with a PC or flex

just wax as often as you see your wax is gone by putting water on it to see if it beads

yeah that's what I did
my wax never lasted long

so (I'm not going to) but it's safe to wax everyday?
if I'm correct only polish "cuts" off the clearcoat?

If you get the right sealant, that can last months and look nearly as good as wax. Any wax should be lasting you 3-6+ weeks though.

I've never heard of waxing using the PC/Flex? Always just done it by hand, it goes quickly enough.

when I do it by hand during the summer, my garage gets up to...I swear about 150° and it almost dries instantly
so the only way I can spread it fast enough is by machine

when I do it by hand it almost instantly dries
what am I doing wrong

i apply wax with a machine then just buff it off with a mf towel, although you should try zaino z2 or something it last a good 4-6 months, I personally don't use it, but when i do detailing jobs most people request it just because it last so long..

With a blue pad and a wax, it would take a very very very long time to burn through your clearcoat. That said, I couldn't imagine having to wax my car multiple times per week. My Tropicare sealant lasts 3-6 months and that is without any wax on top of the sealant.
