E90 = resonators
E92 = x-pipe I have heard it will make the exhaust minimally louder, because the X-pipe does not restrict flow that much. Just there to cut down on drone. |

No its not. For a short time I had just straight pipe on my E90 and it DID NOT sound good. It was louder, yes, but the sound quality was not good, kinda sounded like a motor boat.

H pipes usually have a descent sized pipe connecting each pipes where as the OEM connector (which I consider to be the X pipe) has more characteristics of an X pipe.

removing the x-pipe would just be a TAD raspier. if ur gonna remove anything, do the second cat.
