Delivery date by production number!!!

3549xxx here. Ordered in mid December. 800 number has me down as "Scheduled for production with no confirmed production date." Dealer told me to expect an early March delivery, late February if I am lucky.

yea it meens theres a problem and your car will be delayed 2 months

just meens they havent schedualled it yet, ofcourse being shed. is better

Noooo, no problem at all, in fact mine said that yesterday, ...

BUT TODAY it said "Your vehicle is in production, and is scheduled to be completed January 23" -!!!!

So the priority 1 thing moved me up at least 1 whole week, if not more.

when are you, or your CA, expecting it to arrive to the dealership? Im trying to get a better idea of mine, which is out of production on the 19th, but no word when to expect it after that so far.

335i coupe, Ordered November 24th, Finished production January 17th. Dealer claims it will arrive first week of Feb. I highly doubt that is gonna happen, judging from others experiences, I think I should take delivery around mid Feb. Man I hope it doesn't snow this year in NYC.

Yup, was out of production on the 12th, on the 10th I think it said "in paint shop". Hoping I can make the next boat whatever that is.

That date is the original allocation production date. When an allocation is sold, it (should) be moved up to priority 1, which means it will be built by the original date or SOONER, if there are unsold cars in line ahead of yours- the unsold car will be bumped in favor of the one that is sold.

In my case it resulted in my production date moving up from the 4th week of Jan to the 3rd week of Jan. Whenever I called the 800 number, it said "scheduled for production with no confirmed production date yet" and then moved immediately into production when a opportunity to build it sooner came along.

I have 3549 for a 335 coupe. Ordered just today (01/19). Order status print-out from dealer shows: "112- Scheduled for daily". They said it will go into production on week # 8 which means the end of February. I don't know how they know that because 800 says there's no scheduled date.

Most of the ships do not only have BMWs on them. My Porsche arrived on the ship with Mercedes, Volvos and BMWs. The shipping lines are not exclusively leased by BMW, so the number of BMWs on a ship is irrelevant, as the ship may have arrived at Bremerhaven with 3/4s load of Volvos.
