Installing My Downpipes Today--Wish me Luck!
I'll take a couple pics during the install but I won't do a DIY or anything.
The install is pretty lengthy.

I went with the Ultimate Racing high flow cats.
I was thinking about Riss, but number 1-- it kills me to wait. Number 2--I really wanted the high flow cats and not the catless downpipes so waiting for the Riss downpipes with cats would just take even longer. I really love performance but now since I have a 5 month daughter, I think about the air that she has to breathe so at least I have the cats. I'm in the middle of the install now. I took the weight of both stock downpipes and they were 15.4 pounds. The UR high flow cat downpipes were 10 pounds. If there's one word that I would like to say, it's PATIENCE. The install is going very smooth but it takes a long time--especially since I'm watching my daughter today too. I've just been working on it when she takes a nap or plays in her stand up thing. Here's some pics:

You can still give me a call though if you want to drop on by. I'm watching my daughter though so I'm off and on with the install.

Installation Copmplete.
It went very well but was very long. I had no problems but I just took my time. The fitment of the UR pipes was absolutely perfect! I started it just to warm it up so the gasket sealer that I used will cure. I reved it a couple times and oh my gosh! The turbos are as loud as can be. They seem to wind up sooo much easier. Now it's time for a test drive.

The steps are basic, but when you get under the car, you know what he's talking about. Step 1: Remove Lower Engine Cover Step 2: Loosen steering rack bolts (driver and pass. side). Then remove pass. side bolts completely Step 3: Push steering rack forward (this will give you the space you need to work) Step 4: Loosen Pass. Side Rack heatshield Step 5: Mark both o2 sensors, then remove. Step 6: Unbolt each downpipe at the 2-bolt flange Step 7: Unbolt each downpipe at the bracket Step 8: Unbolt each downpipe clamp connection to turbo Step 9: Remove downpipes Installing is the opposite of the above. Start with the shorter downpipe first. Install ALL connections loosely at first. After installing the first downpipe, you will need it loose enough to be able to maneuver the second downpipe in place. When everything is lined up with the corresponding bolts loosely attached, torque everything down. Hope this helps. Darryl Give youself plenty of time to do this.

I have the grey ramps, so I think they are a little taller than the black ones. I'm sure that if you use a professional lift then the installation would be a lot quicker, but I can't stand paying someone to install something that I could do myself.

Remember though that I have the e90 and not the e92. From what I've heard the e92s are a little lower. Also, my car is not lowered but I do have the oem sport springs.

No problems going up the ramp with your lip? I've been thinking about getting a rhino ramp but was worried the lip would it hit trying to go up...
