Cool. I was about to head back to the garage but I'll wait a little bit for your reply.

What I need to do is to:
  1. add a wire to terminal #2 and attach it to #4
  2. add a wire to terminal #5 and attach it to #6

But my challenges are:
  1. adding the new wires into the xenon plug looks difficult
  2. how to attach the new wires to existing wires? i'm thinking i'll cut the existing wire, make a butt splice on it, make a butt splice on the other end of the new wire, crimp/merge the two together and tape up with electrical tape?

Agree. I just haven't done any electrical stuff so I'm trying to be cautious. What kind of damage can happen if I mess up this headlight electrical connection?

1. eh it looks hard but just fit looks like u just force the wire in the connector. not that hard and i dont think you can fuck it up....check what other people are saying

2. yea sounds good thats what i would do. make sure your tape it tight tho to seal it good. if possible use a wire strip if you have one, ya know 1 of those things that go over the wire then you heat it up to shrink it....

I'm stuck with two issues right now.

I can't remove the piece that holds the pins into the plug. (Step 7, picture 6 from Halogen to Xenon conversion DIY). I spent an hour trying to remove it with no luck.

Also, the ground wire (#4, the thick brown wire) looks different and it doesn't come with the wires that I got from my seller. I don't think I can just use any kind of wire for this.

I might have to abort this mod for now and reinstall the halogen headlights. Argggg..

Good call! Hahaha. I'm about to have lunch now. Thanks for the support bro'!

The good thing about this thing is I learned quite a few tricks to doing the bumper and headlight removal the "easy" way.

Sorry guys, I've been away from the computer since yesterday.

So yeah I was able to complete the halogen to xenon mod but unfortunately I have quite a few issues (low-beam error, lighting system error, buzzing xenon lights, faster turn signal and intermittent loss of lowbeam). I'll post these issues to a new thread to hopefully get more feedback.

But despite of these issues, having Xenon is well worth the issues (at least for now hehehe). Compared to halogens, it's night and day (literally!). Plus getting the angel eyes (with Predator upgrade as a bonus) is sick!

Thanks all for helping/supporting me with this mod!

getting the pin out of the socket requires a set of pin removal tools..got a whole bunch of themn from Snap-On cuse I do that stuff all day long...

You might need a reprogram in order to get those headlights working properly.

I hope you didnt grab the wrong wire lol.

I had a hard time removing the pins from the socket so all I was insert the new wires into the appropriate slots (#2 and #5). Yeah I was worried the wire end points that go into the slot/socket would not be clean enough as I just plugged the bare wires into the slots. Can you provide pictures/itemnumber/description of the Snap-On stuff you were referring to?

The reprogram will be needed but for now I need to fix the other errors that were not supposed to occur.

I was worried about the wires I used as well. I'll take pic of the wires I used shortly. What types of wires should I use? What's the name and where I can buy them?

Thanks Matt.
