Have you looked at his work?
I have seen two cars done by him.
No disrespect, but needles are not calibrated properly.
Then on other red needle sticker is peeling off.
Both forum members were pissed off but cant complaint as they didn't pay much!!!

I've had mine done by him! Yes, two of my needles were slightly off, but having watched him do the dis-assembly, I was able to correct this myself. So far my red needles are fine...

Well that is the thing.
I would never touch others car if I cannot put them into a state in which I got it.

Blue and white theme all complete except for the ambient lighting on the doors and rear panels. Will complete that next week when my LEDs get here.

It all sounds simple in this DIY, but it is just as easy to do irreplaceable damage too. You can pull a LED pad off or break a trace in the circuit board or even burn up another component on the board with the iron. Crap happens. It can be easier in the long run to let those that can, do.

It's all very similar. Almost all of the gauges/switches us those size LEDs. Some use a smaller LED (hazard panel on dash and seat heater panel), but most use those. I'll try to find the sizes for the smaller ones when I get time, or you can put the bigger ones in their place with a little soldering.

I've thought of doing this, it is relatively easy... but the factory Orange/Red is used because it preserves night vision. Bright blue/green is cool looking, but it ruins your night vision. You look up from your gauge cluster at night, and it takes half a second for your eyes to adjust. A half-second can mean the difference between life and death.

It also takes more than a half-second to look down at your gauge cluster. READING GAUGES KILLS PEOPLE.

how did you get the outter of your clock looking so bright? like the semi circle around it they are brightt!!

Too bad all that science BMW went through to determine the best gauge light color for night driving went for not in the OP's car. It is a cool mod, but a non-orange gauge cluster in a BMW to us old Bimmer-heads is sacrilegious. Just saying.

Please share how you do the doors! I would like to know how the LEDs are configured. I'll soon be doing my doors!

I'm hung up on waiting for LEDs too. The over head ambient lights were 4 conductor!
