Update, still looking for answers

Soooooo car still is hesitating on acceleration.

Work that has been done:

Carbon Clean (today)
New Bosche plugs & coils (Sept 10th)
Oil change & filter (sept 10th)
Turbos and Value cover checked out ok (today)
Air filter (today)

Shop said it maybe fuel injectors ($$$$) but I'm not tripping any codes. I have an AP2 tune, was happening before tune. My FMIC and charge pipe seem secure, don't think it's a boost leak.

I'm tired of tossing money at it only to check that off the list and have it be something else.

Suggestions before I go insane and broke?!?

I would say do a few pulls and log and try posting them. I would bet injectors as you seem to have ruled out everything else...unless you have a waste gate sticking open or something...

This happened to me! It was the injectors. Swapped them and problem solved! I accidentally turned my jb4 off while running my e85 mix. Messed them up

injectors don't trip codes early on, they will start to getting misfires and lean/rich codes when the weather gets colder, especially on cold start.

Try injectors. Especially with the temps dropping they are more likely to have issues. I can post up the info to buy them (OEM source) the cheapest.

Please do. I was told "around" $2,600...?

This issue has been happening since summer

They can be found at Rock Auto. The OE for BMW is Intermotor. They even have the BMW logo on them. I think I purchased all 6 + OEM Injector rings for under $700 IIRC.

Gotta love the price they charge for coding. I had zero experience coding BMW and got everything set up and coded injectors on my last 335 in less than an hour.

I'm a little shocked at the price of injectors right now though. I ordered 6 last August and paid 900 through getbmwparts.com. Right now, they want 1,330 for the same exact order. Crazy!

** Just checked Rock Auto as others are reporting, ended up placing an order for 6 injectors for 697.42...wow.

BMW dealer ran it and said my low pressure fuel pump sensor went...

Does this sound right?

They want $700 which is ridiculous, but I'm thinking of doing It cuz I can hold them accountable at least if it doesn't solve the problem

What a rip off. Buy a fuelit for 1/2 the cost: http://www.fuel-it.biz/n54-135i-e8x-...grade-options/

I would do a log and look at your LPFP...

It's just the sensor, I can get it for $82!!! I just want to hold them accountable if It doesn't work. I think DIY or outside shop, I don't have a chance of getting injectors out of them if it turns out not to solve the problem. During the recall, they only replaced 3 of the 6 so I'm willing to bet the issue runs deeper

That is typical (only replacing 3 out of 6) They don't fix what isn't broken

Its going to be tough to hold them accountable if the fix they recommended doesn't "fix" the issue you're having. If they do the labor then you might have a case.. But I doubt they will ever take responsibility for a repair not resolving an issue.

Yeah they wouldn't... At least I got the diagnostic done for free. I called Turner picked up the sensor for $82 and intake manifold gaskets for like $30 🙌🏻. No way I'm paying that esp if they're not going to guarantee it, on the way to my buddy's tonight to do the work, fingers crossed
