I bought a Homelink rear view mirror for my 328i but never installed it. $150 including shipping to lower 48.

What does it cost to install? Any idea?

You need a Wiring harness which you can buy online for $30. Instruction are downloaded from the web. Takes about 30 minutes to install yourself.

I ran my VIN# over to BMW and they told me "Unfortunately your vehicle does not have the necessary option to use that mirror."

thats cheap if its an OEM homelink mirror. is it auto dimming also? with compass?

No compass. Auto dim with home link. What year and model do you have? It came from a 5 series and fit my car. The only number on the mirror is 015891.

Sorry JSH3 should have looked at your member info. It should fit your car with this harness, but check with your dealer first. Hate to see you buy something that won't work.
