Poor radio reception. Two channels simultaneously - E93
Hi,
I have problems with the radio reception on my E93. With the roof down there is no problem, but with the roof up there is sometimes very poor reception. It can go from working without any problem, to suddenly starting to bluster. From time to time I also receive two channels "simultaneously". When the reception is poor, one could describe it as someone standing and holding a hand i front of a speaker. It may also be worse when I turn the steering wheel. Has anyone had something similar? |

There are two different antenna's in a E93 one for roof up and one for
roof down. There have been some threads on this here. https://www.e90post.com/forums/showt...hlight=antenna Some info in this one read the entire thread as the knowledge of the hardware improved toward the end. E93 The E93 (Convertible) has no visible aerials apart from the SDARS aerial (US version) on the tailgate. Different aerials are used for radio reception depending on the position of the convertible hardtop (closed or open). Convertible hardtop closed: Radio reception using aerials (AM, FM 1, FM 3) in the rear window Convertible hardtop open: Radio reception using aerials (AM, FM 1) in the rear left side trim and the aerial (FM 3) in the rear right sid Last edited by ctuna; 12-12-2019 at 09:52 AM.. |
