This can give you an idea on what recommended parts needed to be replaced when you change your suspension.

Get the you could get Lemforder & Monroe for the front & rear respectively. what pump stops should I get? You don't need bump stops😊 the fronts are internal & the rear come with them. which lowering perches should I get? You don't need them... the Eibach springs will lower the car. do I need special sockets or tools? 19mm strut socket Spring compressor anything else that I will need? Torque wrench Torch w/ yellow gas A good DIY to follow. Bav Auto made a good one on YouTube Air powered torque gun (Dewalt makes a nice one) Kroil Oil 16mm flex, ratcheting wrench please send links. Thank You!!! |

Do I have to change the Control Arm Bolts and Locking Nuts or can I just use some blue lock tight on the old ones and reuse them? California Car. With 70k miles am I likely to need to replace the Coil Spring Shims? |

Its always good to replace the bolts. I didn't, I live in western colorado though so its fairly dry. If yours aren't rusted badly you should be okay there too. I was going to replace my coil spring shims but the new ones ended up being different, so I reused my old ones (140k miles on them) and haven't had any issues

So strut mounts are the only thing that is a must to replace right? Anything else? |

When I did my suspension, surprisingly all my strut mounts were in good condition. The bottom mounts for the rear had some wear but everything else looked good. I replaced all my mounts anyways, upgraded rear top mounts to monroe, everything else I left OEM. I can't think of anything else I replaced other than those!

Here is what I was looking to order; https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...er-33506771737 And https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...60-31306775098 Are these two items sufficient? Should I look into ordering rear bottom mounts too? |

Those would all work just fine! I do reccommend these rear top mounts: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IJGAZRA They get rid of the vertical bounce you find when hitting potholes on corners or when you go over waves on the road. I also reccommend you replace the bottom mounts, it'll help tighten everything up in the rear even more. My bottom mounts had more wear than the rest of them just an fyi

Ok just to clarify your recommending the Monroe 907984 Rear upper shock mounts instead of these Lemforder ones right? https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-rear-shock-mount-upper-portion-lemforder-33506771737 Also is this the Lower Rear shock mounts that you’re referring to? https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-shock-mount-33526768544 |

You will need at the minimum adjustable swaybar links for the front. Otherwise, you will not ever the the most from your swaybar. The swaybar will always be under duress unless you match the geometry with an adjustable link.

The best ones for the front at least IMO are made by whiteline. They don't make them for the rear though. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...vD_BwE#fitment |

Guys I’m doing the install today. I’m at the work bench with Bilstein struts fully Assembled and I’m noticing that even though I have the 22mm strut top nut fully tightened there is a tiny bit of play between the strut mount and the part that is right below it which I think is the perch if I’m not mistaking about the part name. I did replace the strut mount with the Lemforder mount so the parts are new. I also noticed the play on the old strut after removing it off the vehicle. But I would say this play is slightly more on the Lemforder than on the original strut mount. My question is is that play normal?
