I've been quite reader for some time now and today I tried to update the Maps on my 2010 E71, equipped with CIC. I've downloaded the 1b.hex file (exactly 319 bytes) using the USB method and generated two FSC codes (normal and lifetime) using the the 1b.hex file. Unfortunately none of the codes worked for me.

Then I tried to generate the code using the Date method by updating the RSAKeys file but unfortunately with no success, even though I tried multiple dates before and after the production date of my car.

Guys, as you are much more competent than me, do you have any ideas on what the problem might be? I've chosen the right map, this was not the problem.

Did you check the VIN in the hex file to be sure you did not get the 12345678 type result?

Hi and thank you for the reply!

It is 12345.. and I guess this means that my CIC firmware is old and the only way to extract the 1B file is with the E-SYS.

I tried to do it many years ago, even bought an Ethernet cable but it was so time consuming that I decided to leave it.

However, I have made a guess that it will be
2021-1 SWID_FscShort="00280050"

Reload your keygen, the latest lookup.xml should be downloaded with PREMIUM 2021-1 available to select.

Please let me know if it works, as the FscShort is only a guess.

CKH50d Sorry, I'm in the process of moving and my main workstation is down right now.

Unlike Windows and OSX, the Linux binary is compiled as a shared library (Meaning you need a compatible version of QT and GLIBC).

You can debug what library is causing the segfault using gdb. The Linux binary was meant more for Server/VM, so I didn't bother compiling it as a static library.

What OS (Ubuntu 20?) are you running? Once I get my main workstation back up and running, I'll compile with that as the target.

Hey I'm trying to generate FSC code for a North America Premium 2021 map update. However, the mac link seems to be dead. Anyone able to help me get a FSC code?

Figured it out, just installed an app called Parallels on Mac that runs Windows, theres a free 14 day trial. The '.exe' FSC generator works perfectly using that. Thanks OP for this thread!!

Okay so I followed all the steps and generated a lifetime FSC for the North America Premium 2021 maps.

I downloaded the torrent and uploaded to a USB and did all that, punched in the FSC and updated my maps.

Now my NAV is just showing blank. No terrain, no roads nothing. Just darkness. The iDrive system is working perfectly, it zooms in and out of the darkness, it even shows me the correct location on top when I click free view. However, the map itself is blank. It even shows the the correct map version and everything. Just the map itself is missing.

Any ideas why and how to fix this???
