Raj's 335i - The Build (Seats are in)
Sooooo, I know i've been on here a couple of months now but figured to start the New Year with a proper build thread and introduction.
I've been modding motors for more years than I care to remember and have had a couple of previous cars magazine featured. I'm a moderator on EvoTechnik too so a couple of you I know already. Previous cars include - 330d: ![]() V6 4motion: ![]() 530d: ![]() M5: ![]() Last one was X5 but my wife has kept that so still in the family: ![]() BUT now we're onto the 335i.... ![]() So this particular motor was owned firstly by Mike in Hampshire (which he kindly did quite a bit to her in his ownership) and then scaramanga (whom I bought it off and again added a few nice touches too also). Unfortunately (which is unlike me) I don't have any pictures from when I picked her up off Nik, but sadly she was absolutely filthy. Looked pretty much like this: ![]() but had the Eisenmann tips sticking out and CM's style 359 reps on. Now me being be, I picked the car up at 11am and duly drove straight to Drrncour (Darren off here) and chopped the 359's in for his genuine 313 Performance rims. Then spent the Sunday giving her a good clean to end up like this: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() MOD LIST:

So then it was time to bin the standard AE bulbs for LEDs (bought off fellow member themanthatcan - Cheers Andy):
![]() and fit my performance grills: ![]() ![]() ![]() Front looks much better now.

New Years Day modding....
Got this for a good price: Genuine M3 leather CF trim ![]() ![]() Comparison to the wrapped 3M CF effect: ![]() Fitted: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Also swapped out the BMS filters for Burger Tuning ones (as I'd already purchased them before even buying the car lol): ![]() ![]() I do have plenty of other bits to post up once they start and I do already have a little stock pile of items to go on lol

It's not supposed to be a build thread, it is but I will post up over time as things progress and from previous motors you can see I will be doing a fair bit.

Looking good with the new grill. What's the steering wheel on the right hand side in one of the photos doing there? Another mod on the way?

Always been a fan of this trim. I've contemplated purchasing it as well but the M3 center console piece is different than the 335's. Did you just wrap your stock one?

Was trying to do a deal with a fellow member for his leather trimmed console but think he's already sold it now. Might do the same thing though and get mine leather trimmed.

I'm thinking just black leather retrim so doesn't need to match the cf effect.

I think that looks best with carbon leather. Where did you get the carbon leather trim from? |

Or leave it on the car and I'll bring some tools to take it off then you can drive back bumperless.... ![]()

So another mod completed to add to the list.
Huge thanks to cupraraj for kindly popping over today and coding out the checks etc so I could get these fitted. LCI Rears nicely freshen up the rear. Will look better once my plate goes on: ![]() ![]() ![]()
