New tyres required (Continental ContiSport Contact 5P)

Hi All,

I need 2 x Continental ContiSport Contact 5P tyres for the rear of my E92 (255/30 ZR19 91Y).

It seems Camskill and the likes only stock the newer 6 variant and from searching Iím looking around £162 from www.alltyres365.co.uk

However, Iíve also seen this via ebay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-NEU-Co....c100675.m4236 (from a German seller) and based upon his positive feedback and taking into the consideration the shipping costs (I could save myself a few quid).

Has anyone any experience of this seller/others on eBay? Alternatively, is anyone aware of alternative vendors I could try?

Thanks in advance!

I recently went from Continental contact 5 to Michelin Pilot Sport 4S.

The Michelin is a far superior and well worth considering. I bought mine from https://www.tyre-shopper.co.uk/deals using code TS5 for a further 5% off

I would agree. However, only need 2 at present as there's tonnes of life on the front. Furthermore, I don't want to switch all four comers as I'll soon be selling and moving over to a 4 series.

If I was keeping the car perhaps, but mixed tyres on a car for sale is a no no (in my book)!

As long as each axle has the same tyre I don't see the problem unless one axle has ditch finders on it and the other has premium tyres on.

Have you tried Tyre Leader? I have used them without any issues. Only concern I would have with those tyres from eBay would be that they have been sat in storage for 4 or 5 years, I am no expert in this but think that's not far off from the recommended shelf life.

So your saying people prefer 4 worn budget tyres, than different tyres front and back. Right..............
