There is a big difference between the average swill called coffee and the good stuff ground fresh and brewed correctly.

Pretty random but do any of you guys know a place that does data recovery for Macs? My hard drive went out and I'm trying to recover all my stuff... Places a charging like $200 for it..

$200 actually sounds fairly reasonable compared to some I've heard about... because, "how can you put a price on memories?" Most (good) places charge closer to $700. My work spent $1500 for a failed pair of raided drives and didn't get anything back.

I think the Samy's camera on Fairfax should have an Apple department. I work at the Santa Barbara one and we have it. Try them?

In SGV not of the top of my head, In Irvine by the airport Data Mechanix, very good, sent numerous drives networked and otherwise never have failed me but they aren't cheap, closer to $500.

no matter what. i recommend getting a passport anyway. Dont quote me, but I think if you step out of the ship. Then you'll need a passport.

Have your passport with you once you get off the ship or the Narcos will get you. Don't flaunt expensive stuff or the Narcos will get you. Stick with a large group or the Narcos will get you. And most importantly, if your not Mexican, the Narcos will get you. But other than that there's nothing to worry about.

You need a passport for anywhere outside the US including Baja. The only pseudo exception is a fast track pass if you frequently cross the border for work IE SoCal to TJ(had one previous employer we had a factory in Eastern TJ by the airport). Usually the cruise ship line will not let you board with out the documents so I'd call them first.
