you should see the auto level working every time you turn on your headlights. it usually will point down then back up again. the auto level function is suppose to help in keeping your headlights level when you hit bumps in the road and/or if you are hauling extra cargo in the back.
however, this is different from aiming your headlights. to aim your headlights, you need to do this manually.

and you aimed your headlights so it hits "B". the auto leveling mechanism helps to try to keep your lights always aimed at the "B" location whether you're hitting bumps, carrying an extra 200 lbs in your trunk, etc... hope that makes sense.

btw... after lowering my car, i had to reaim my headlights up. i just used the garage door to make sure both sides were even and would take it for a spin around the neighborhood to see how i like it. then repeat adjustment if necessary. i just did some trial and error. you could always tell if they're pointed too far down or too far up.

reason why i ask is b/c i'm not sure if i'm trippin b/c after i got my car lowered, i had to adjust the light up more since the beam was hitting too low. i turned it 3.5 full turns and my beam still does not hit the bumper of the car in front of me until i'm about a car length away. I read that most people turn it around 2 or 2.5 turns counterclockwise.
i thought maybe after i adjusted the light, the auto level feature will override my settings and adjust the beam lower. knawmean? |

let me ask all of you this then. i'm not sure if you pay attention but i'll ask anyway. when you're driving at night and you're coming up behind a person, how far away from the car in front of you until you can see your headlight beams hitting the rear bumper of that car?
