I posted my last 335i detail in January, prepping her for sale and now she's gone... and so is winter Finally got to working on my new ride and this one was a lot of work, given it was a CPO. I swore Id never buy a black car again and was cursing myself for it during this job - but totally worth it and I wanted to share the results. Sad to leave BMW but excited to have my first Porsche.

My process is pretty much exactly the same as the last:

Started with summer wheels, calipers, wheel wells, tires, engine bay, tailpipes and exterior plastics:
- P21s TAW
- EZ detail brushes in mult sizes, boars hair lug brush, tire brushes
- P21s polishing soap and 0000 steel wool on tailpipes
- Aerospace 303 for dressing.protection on rubber and plastics
- Hydro2 sealant on calipers and wheels

Paint wash and prep:
- Strip wash paint followed by foam bath with CG Maxi suds II, PW and MTM canon
- Two bucket hand wash
- Chemical decon with CarPro TRIX
- Mechanical decon with nanoskin autoscrub (clay in areas needed)
- Rinse
- Masterblaster to dry
- Tape and mask

Paint correction:
- Pre-inspect with Gyeon Prep
The paint was in ummmm… decent condition – the previous owner didn’t abuse the finish, but didn’t baby it either. There were a lot of deep swirls, light and moderate scratches, marring and hazing from the previous owner's (or dealer installed ) orbital.
- Select spots corrected with Griots FCC on Megs MF Cutting disc
- Rest of car corrected and polished with Megs D302 and Griots Perfecting Cream with MF cutting and finishing pads.
- Pads brushed after each section and blown with compressed air after each panel to keep em going.
- Rinse and touchless dry

LSP:
- IPA wipedown
- BFWD sealant and let cure overnight
- Final top wax Collinite 845

Interior:
- Int glass megs D12001
- Ext glass GS glass renew then treated with GS rain clear
- Vaccum, mats cleaned with DA brush (thank god they’re black)
- Nextzett cockpit premium hard upper surfaces
- Lexol leather surfaces
- 303 kickplates, lower plastics and moldings
- Jams and pedals cleaned with Tornador with ONR and hand waxed painted surfaces

Other tools: Flex 3401 main work horse, PC 7424 with 3” BP for tight areas, Flex swirlfinder, HD buckets with dollies, grit guards, wool wash mits, tons of MF towels, LC ultrafine and finishing foam pads for LSP, AR Blue clean 390ss.

Stable mate in the garage got a detail last week.
